Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication fosters the highest standard of training and inquiry into the multi-faceted needs of the media and communications industry.

It was in 1990 that Symbiosis Institute of Journalism & Communication (SIJC) first opened its doors to about 40 students. Renamed in 1999 as Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication and eventually as Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication; today SIMC has evolved into a world-class media and communication education and training Institute, providing the industry with trained and competent professionals.

SIMC prepares its trainees to perform a vital and challenging role as skilled communicators and managers in Journalism, Audio-Visual, Public Relation and Advertising domains. The school also inculcates in its students the pursuit of leadership for change and improvement in their respective streams. We are now a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed) University.
